The Practice Team
Our team consists of experienced General Practitioners, Registered Nurses, reception staff, and a Practice Manager. We are committed to delivering patient-centred, evidence-based care. Our team works collaboratively to ensure continuity of care and high-quality clinical outcomes.
Consultations
All consultations are by appointment to ensure adequate time is allocated for each patient. Emergency cases are always prioritised. If you require urgent attention, please inform reception staff at the time of booking.
Telephone & Telehealth Consultations
Telephone and telehealth consultations may be available for eligible patients, particularly for follow-ups or where clinically appropriate. Generally, patients are required to have had a recent face-to-face consultation to access telehealth services.
Emergency Consultations
Emergency and urgent cases take precedence over routine appointments. Patients with serious or life-threatening conditions will be managed immediately or referred to appropriate emergency services.
After-Hours Care
For medical care outside business hours:
- Contact the practice for guidance
- Call 000 in an emergency
- Attend the nearest hospital (e.g., Moruya Hospital) or Batemans Bay Urgent Care Clinic/Hospital.

Mental health assessments and care plans are structured processes conducted by professionals (doctors, nurses, therapists) to analyze cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
Skin cancer checks, excisions, and procedures
Treating skin cancer may include procedures such as cryosurgery, curettage and electrosurgery, wide local excision or Mohs surgery.
Women’s and men’s health services
We provide comprehensive healthcare services tailored to the unique needs of both women and men.
Iron infusions and minor procedures
We offer safe and effective iron infusion treatments for patients with iron deficiency, along with a range of minor procedures performed by experienced medical professionals.
Travel medicine and immunisations
We provide expert travel health advice and a full range of immunisations to help protect you while travelling.
Health assessments and screening programs
We offer comprehensive health assessments and screening programs to help detect potential health issues early and support preventive care.
Fees and Billing Arrangements
Tuross Medical Centre is a bulk billing practice.
If there is no Medicare card, there would be a fee and patient will be informed beforehand.
Results and Follow-Up
Patients will be advised when to expect test results. It is the patient’s responsibility to follow up results. In most cases, a follow-up appointment will be required to discuss results.
Repeat Prescriptions
Repeat prescriptions are generally not provided without a consultation to ensure safe and appropriate prescribing. In exceptional circumstances, limited prescriptions may be issued at the doctor’s discretion.
Home Visits
Home visits may be available for regular patients who are unable to attend the practice due to medical reasons. These are arranged at the discretion of the treating doctor.
Interpreter Services
Interpreter services are available for patients who require assistance due to language barriers or communication difficulties. Please inform reception when booking.
